Die bekannte Inselgruppe liegt etwa 25 Seemeilen östlich von Phuket. Phi Phi Le ist unbewohnt, Phi Phi Don bietet vom einfachsten Bungalow bis zum Deluxe-Hotel zahlreiche Unterkunftsmöglichkeiten. Im Hauptort Tonsai gibt es eine Vielzahl an Restaurants, Bars und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die Destination begeistert durch steil aufragende Bergkuppen mit bizarren Felsformationen, umgeben von Stränden mit weißem Sand und smaragdgrüner See mit vielfältiger Unterwasserwelt. Die "Bilderbuch-Inseln" sind bequem per Überfahrt mit dem Schnellboot der Hotels oder der öffentlichen Fähre erreichbar. Flugplanbedingt kann auf Hin- und/oder Rückreise eine Zwischenübernachtung auf Phuket notwendig sein (Transfer-Details finden Sie beim jeweiligen Hotel). Als beste Reisezeit gelten die Monate November bis Mai/Juni. In der Nebensaison wird es ruhiger, das Meer kann aufgewühlt und evtl. nicht schwimmbar sein.
